Minot Police Say Five Businesses Fail Compliance Checks

(Minot, ND) — Police say five Minot businesses have failed Tobacco Compliance Checks. It was the first check since the tobacco buying age was raised to 21-years old in the city. Police say 28 of the 33 retailers passed the check, refusing to sell tobacco products to underage volunteers. The businesses who failed the check face a 100-dollar penalty for a first offense.
