Timberwolves Open Preseason With A Win

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves scored 40 second-quarter points en route to a 117-114 preseason win over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Target Center. Five Wolves players finished with double-digit point totals, as D’Angelo Russell and Karl Anthony-Towns led the way with 19 and 15 points, respectively. Newcomer Patrick Beverley had six assists and two steals in the victory. Minnesota will be on the road against Denver on Friday.
