(Bismarck, ND) — A former oil company maintenance manager will avoid jail time in connection with the 2014 death of an oil worker in Williston. Stephen Reisinger was sentenced yesterday to one-and-a-half years of probation after pleading guilty to obstructing a federal investigation. The judge cited Reisinger’s remorse in his sentencing decision as well as the defendant’s recent employment as an engineer aboard a dredge in Boston Harbor in Massachusetts. Reisinger was a supervisor for Nabors Completion and Production Services when 28-year-old welder Dustin Payne died following an explosion at the Williston site.
