Man In Custody After Crashing Into 69-Year-Old Pedestrian

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man is in custody after he crashed into a pedestrian. Police say 29-year-old Jeffrey Grossman was arrested early Sunday morning near Tenth Street and Summit Avenue. Grossman told police he didn’t see the 69-year-old pedestrian, who suffered a broken leg and possible skull fracture in the crash. The suspect stopped after hitting the victim and police found an open container in his car. Grossman is charged with vehicular battery, DUI, open container, careless driving, and resisting arrest.
