Timberwolves Open Season Against Rockets

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves begin the 2021-22 season when they host the Rockets at Target Center tonight. The Timberwolves went 3-and-1 in the preseason. The Wolves are looking to bounce back from a 23-and-49 record last season, although they won seven of their last 12 games. Chris Finch is in his first full season as the T-Wolves coach, and he’ll try to improve last year’s 29th-ranked defense. To help on that side of the ball, Minnesota brought in defensive specialist Patrick Beverley, although he won’t play tonight as he serves a one-game suspension stemming from an altercation with Chris Paul in last year’s Western Conference Finals. Tonight’s game tips off at 7 p.m.
