ND Still Seeking 38-Million From Feds For DAPL Protests

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota officials are continuing to seek 38-million dollars from the federal government for emergency response expenses related to the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. Hundreds gathered in Morton County during 2016 and 2017 to protest DAPL permits and over 700 cases were filed. The state, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Justice Department have been discussing expense sharing since September.
