Wolves Blow Out Rockets In Opener

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves’ quest to improve their 29th-ranked defense got off to a good start last night. Minnesota forced 24 Rockets turnovers in a 124-106 win over Houston at the Target Center. The Wolves jumped out to a 27-point lead at halftime, and they were able to coast to the finish line. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Wolves with 30 points, and Anthony Edwards was right behind him with 29. D’Angelo Russell added another 22 points in the victory. Minnesota hasn’t lost a home opener since 2015. The Wolves will host the Pelicans on Saturday.
