Rapid City Man Expected To Enter Mental Illness Plea In Arson

(Rapid City, SD) — A man accused of setting multiple fires between December 2020 and January 2021 is expected to use an insanity defense. A lawyer for 68-year-old Raymond Andrzejewski says his client is set to enter a guilty but mentally ill plea. He is charged with one count of first-degree arson, three counts of second-degree arson, and one count of making a false report. He faces up to 55 years in prison if he is convicted on all charges.
