Rapid City Former UPS Worker Awarded 42-Million In Suit

(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City former UPS worker is receiving a large award in her suit against the company. Fern Johnson was awarded 42-million dollars yesterday after the jury agreed that her employer-provided insurance company refused to pay her medical care after an on-the-job injury. Lawyers working on the case say this is the largest verdict showing bad faith by a company in South Dakota history. Liberty Mutual was also sued as part of the case.
