(Pierre, SD) — Eleven new South Dakota Highway Patrol recruits are set to graduate. Ceremonies for Class 65 will be held today in the Drifters Conference Center in Fort Pierre. Superintendent of the Highway Patrol Colonel Rick Miller says the class is a mix of people who are new and who have law enforcement experience. Class 65 recruits are being stationed across the state. Those with law enforcement experience have been on the job for several weeks, while other recruits will receive their Highway Patrol vehicles this week.
