SD Legislature Compromises On Redistricting Map

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s redistricting map is set for the next decade. Lawmakers compromised on the final map following months of debate and three days of discussions during the current special session on the so-called “Sparrow” map. Several conservatives worked against the compromise, and tough negotiations led to the final compromise. Governor Kristi Noem signed off on the map only hours after it passed.
