(Eagan, MN) — The Vikings secondary might have their two best players return to the field this week. Safety Harrison Smith was removed from the COVID-19 list yesterday, and cornerback Patrick Peterson was designated for return from injured reserve. Peterson practiced with the Vikings, but he can be kept off the roster for three additional weeks until he is able to play. Smith was limited in practice. Meanwhile, four other Vikings missed practice yesterday, including right tackle Brian O’Neill and defensive end DJ Wonnum. Both of those players reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 during the day, but each had a second test come back negative. The Vikings host the Packers on Sunday.
