Sioux Falls Parents Encouraged To Become Bus Drivers To Cover Shortage

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls parents are being encouraged to become bus drivers to help alleviate a shortage. Superintendent Jane Stavem sent an email to families Wednesday outlining the transportation issues and interruptions faced by the district. Stavem also said the district is working to adjust routes, develop a communication system regarding late buses, provide drivers and staff with additional training, and raise wages at School Bus Inc. She also included a plea to parents in the email to consider becoming bus drivers and encourage others to apply.
