(New Town, ND) — The New Town Public School Board is placing superintendent Beth Zietz on paid administrative leave after a special meeting yesterday. Zietz is facing questions about how she handled an incident where a student reportedly brought a weapon to school last week. Board members also referred to an unsatisfactory superintendent evaluation as a possible reason for a pending outside investigation and the placement of Zietz on leave. Zietz says she’s also involved with two other on-going investigations and has been asked to turn in her school keys. A special meeting will be held tonight.
