Sioux Falls Man Pleads Guilty In Shooting Death

(Sioux Falls, SD) — One of two men accused in a 2020 shooting death is pleading guilty. Luis Rodriguez changed his plea Wednesday and entered a guilty plea to first degree manslaughter. He was previously charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of kidnapping, and one count of committing or attempting to commit a felony with a firearm, which were dropped. Adam Sorbel faces the same charges stemming from the shooting death of 30-year-old Cody Schmidt.
