Supreme Court Strikes Down Recreational Pot Amendment

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A controversial recreational marijuana amendment is being shut down by the South Dakota Supreme Court. The state’s high court struck down the amendment approved by voters last November, stating Amendment A was too broad and introduced too many elements in one proposal. The amendment okayed south recreational and medical marijuana, though the medical marijuana portion stands. Over 225 thousand people voted for the amendment.
