Twins Lock Up Buxton With Seven-Year Deal

(Minneapolis, MN) — Twins center fielder Byron Buxton is baseball’s latest nine-figure man. Multiple reports say the two sides have reached agreement on a seven-year, 100-million-dollar contract. The deal includes a full no-trade clause and MVP bonuses. Buxton has been solid when on the field but has been hampered by injuries for most his career so far. The 27-year-old hit 19 home runs and had a .306 batting average last season, both career-high’s, despite being limited to 61 games.
