Sioux Falls COVID Vaccine Mandate For Health Workers Reversed

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls is reversing its policy requiring healthcare workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 following a federal ruling. South Dakota was one of ten states that challenged President Biden’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. The federal mandate was blocked Monday after a court ruling found that the mandate overreached federal authority. The Sioux Falls policy also went against Governor Kristi Noem’s executive order banning local and state governments from issuing vaccine mandates.
