New Details Released As Bentaas Sentenced In Baby Andrew Case

(Sioux Falls, SD) — New details are being released following the sentencing of Theresa Bentaas in the 40 year old Baby Andrew case. During her sentencing, Judge Bradley Bell declared that there was no evidence that Andrew died of exposure. Her defense team argued that she didn’t kill her baby, but rather he died immediately after birth. Bentaas was ultimately sentenced to ten years in women’s prison, with nine years suspended and credit for time served. She is likely to serve only about 60 days starting early next year.
