Central North Dakota Officers Christmas Shop With At-Risk Children

(Bismarck, ND) — Members of the Missouri Valley Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Three are helping to make Christmas brighter for a group of at-risk children. Five law enforcement agency members spent time this weekend helping low-income and at-risk children shop for Christmas as part of the Cops and Kids Christmas event. Officers say it’s one way to show community members that it’s okay to ask the police for help. Each child received 100-dollars to buy presents for themselves and a care package of essential items worth another 100-dollars. The event is wholly sponsored by community donations, which totaled more than ten-thousand dollars this year.
