Energy Grant Helping Tribes In Three States Connect Charging Stations

(Bismarck, ND) — A U.S. Department of Energy grant is helping tribes in North Dakota and two other states create a network of electric vehicle charging stations. The six-point-six million dollar grant will connect a network of 122 stations across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota between the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Red Lake Nation Tribe reservations. Some of the funds will also be used to purchase nearly 20 electric vehicles for use by tribal governments.
