Active COVID Case Numbers Falling

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota health officials say active COVID-19 case numbers are falling in the state. Officials reported over 380 new cases of the virus yesterday, along with more than 76-hundred active cases. The Department of Health says 270 people in the state are hospitalized for COVID-19 related illnesses. Eight new deaths were reported, bringing the total number of South Dakotans who have died from the virus to nearly 24-hundred since the pandemic began.
