(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Farmers Union Conference is wrapped up for the year. The conference was held over the weekend at the Event Center in Bismarck. A major topic of discussion included finding solutions to the monopolization of the meat market. One suggestion included shortening the supply chain by investing in local and regional supply chains, making it more likely that cattle and meat will stay in the state to be processed. The conference concluded Saturday evening and included speeches from national Farmers Union delegates.
