(Northwood, ND) — No one is injured after a University of North Dakota aircraft was forced to land on a county road over the weekend. UND officials say two members of the student flying team experienced mechanical failure Saturday afternoon over Northwood. The plane was not close enough to make it to Northwood Airport to make a proper landing. No further damage was done to the aircraft on landing. The plane was trailered to Northwood Airport on Sunday for maintenance inspections, and preliminary investigations show there was an issue with the plane’s cylinders.
