Report: SD Reserves Jump 42%

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s reserves are up 42-percent in the last year, according to a new report. The state’s 2021 comprehensive financial report shows the state spent nearly 30-million dollars less than budgeted in 2021. Its reserves grew from about 216-million to 307-million, year-over-year. The biggest factor was one-point-two-billion in pandemic relief funding.
