(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are locking down their head coach. The team announced yesterday that it has given Dean Evason and his entire coaching staff multi-year extensions. The 57-year-old coach took over the team from Bruce Boudreau in February of 2020. The Wild are 62-29-and-7 since Evason began his tenure with the team, and they’re in second place in the Central Division this season. Minnesota will try to get back into first place when they host the division leading St. Louis Blues in the NHL Winter Classic at Target Field tomorrow night.
