Tokio Woman Pleads Guilty To Murder In Foster Child’s Death

(Bismarck, ND) — A Tokio, North Dakota woman is facing sentencing in connection with the death of her foster child. Court records show 47-year-old Tammy Longie has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of the five-year-old, as well as three counts of child abuse, and child neglect in Indian Country. She and her 44-year-old husband Erich Longie Jr. were arrested in May 2020 after authorities say they found the child’s body in their basement with signs of abuse.
