University Students Working To Get Alcohol Sales At Home Games

(Undated) — University students at four different South Dakota schools are advocating for malt beverages and wine to be sold at home sports games. Student governments at Dakota State University, Northern State University, South Dakota Mines, and South Dakota State University have all passed resolutions to support the change. South Dakota Board of Regents policy restricts the sale of beer and wine at home games. Students say the practice could reduce binge drinking on game days, and could increase attendance while making the atmosphere more vibrant in the stands.
