(Minneapolis, MN) — The last Twins pitcher to twirl a no-hitter is retiring from Major League Baseball. Francisco Liriano announced his decision to retire yesterday. Liriano dominated during his 2006 rookie season, going 12-and-3 with a 2.16 ERA and 144 strikeouts in 121 innings pitched. However, a UCL tear sidelined him in 2007, but he continued pitching with the Twins before he was traded to the White Sox in 2012.
