NDSU Extension Receives Grant For Pilot Program For Seniors

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota State University Extension is receiving a three-year, over one-point-five million dollar grant for a project designed to help older adults in rural parts of the state. The program is called Aging in Community and will be piloted in Lisbon and rural Morton County areas with a high number of adults over 60. Organizers say the program will connect seniors with resources to help them live at home longer and provide them with reliable transportation. Needs identified include help with Medicaid, heating, pharmacy plans, literacy, and vision changes.
