(Bismarck, ND) — A North Dakotan detained in Ukraine is getting word from his family after a visit from Senator Kevin Cramer. Cramer recently visited Kurt Groszhans while visiting Ukraine on a diplomatic mission with a bipartisan group of senators addressing Russian aggression against the country. Groszhans is a farmer from Ashley, North Dakota and has been held in Kyiv since November. Groszhans allegedly attempted to pay someone to murder a former business partner who is a ranking official in the Ukrainian president’s cabinet. A trial date hasn’t been set.
