South Dakota Congressional Candidate Withdraws From Race

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A candidate for South Dakota’s sole Congressional seat is pulling out of the race. Democrat Ryan Ryder withdrew from the race yesterday, just a day after announcing his run. The move comes after controversial tweets from Ryder have resurfaced. Ryder has said the tweets were made in the past and were a poor attempt a humor that may have crossed a line. The South Dakota Democratic Party has released a statement condemning the language used in the tweets.
