(Pierre, SD) — A group of South Dakota lawmakers is honoring retired NFL champion Tom Brady. The bipartisan group introduced Senate Commemoration 818 that officially recognizes the seven-time Super Bowl champion and eventual first ballot Hall of Famer as “one of football’s greatest quarterbacks of all time.” Part of the proposed commemoration connects Brady to the Rushmore State saying he “represents so many of the values of everyday South Dakotans.” The proposal is being championed by retiring Democratic State Senator Troy Heinert.
