Moose Poached In Williams County

(Williams County, ND) — North Dakota wildlife officials are investigating after a moose was poached in northern Williams County. The cow moose was shot some time overnight on February 24 into the early morning hours of February 25th and was left to rot by the road about a mile south of Hanks. Hanks is northwest of Williston. The state’s hunting season is in the fall. Game officials are asking for the public’s help to catch the person who shot the animal.
