SD House Rejects Proposed Shooting Range

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota House is rejecting a proposal for a five-million dollar shooting range. The shooting range would have been located on 400 acres of state-owned land near Rapid City. The proposal was voted down in the House yesterday because the needed two-thirds majority for a special spending bill wasn’t met. This is the third time the proposal originating with Governor Kristi Noem and the state’s Game, Fish, and Parks Department has been rejected.
