(Pierre, SD) — In-house growing of marijuana is being limited to four plants in South Dakota. The state House and Senate recently compromised on the number of plants allowed for in-home cultivation. The House initially passed a measure that would have banned in-home cultivation, while a Senate bill set the limit at six plants. Voters in 2020 authorized medical marijuana patients to grow cannabis for person use, but didn’t set a specific number of plants.
