(Sioux Falls, SD) — A new study is documenting the gender pay gap in South Dakota. The National Women’s Law Center says women in South Dakota make 78 cents for ever dollar a man makes. The data was released yesterday on Equal Pay Day, which marks minimum length of days that women have to work into the year to earn what men made in the previous year. The national average for women is 82 cents per a man’s dollar.
