Three Years Since Southern Sioux Falls Flood

(Sioux Falls, SD) — It’s been three years since the big flood in southern Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue had to help evacuate people trapped in their homes after the Big Sioux River and several streets flooded on March 14th, 2019. Regan Smith emergency manager for the City of Sioux Falls said the city fortunately has a robust urban search and rescue that includes water rescue. Smith added that it feels like the natural disaster happened just last year.
