Inmate Dubusries Balkcom Back in Custody

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- A minimum-security state prison inmate who was placed on escape status earlier this week is back in custody.

Inmate Dubusries Balkcom was arrested in Minnehaha County March 18.

Balkcom left the Yankton Community Work Center March 13 without authorization.

Leaving a non-secure facility without authorization constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
