Governor Noem Signs Cannabis Bill Into Law

(Pierre, SD) — New medical marijuana laws are on the books in South Dakota. Governor Kristi Noem announced Friday that she’d signed several marijuana-related bills into law. The six new laws affect in-home cultivation, the process of getting a medical marijuana identification card, allowing restrictions in certain facilities, product testing, and industrial hemp statues. Noem says the laws are aimed at creating a “safe and responsible medical cannabis program that is the most patient-focused in the country.”
