South Dakota Upsets Two-Seed Baylor

(Waco, TX) — South Dakota is pulling off an upset in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. The 10-seed Coyotes took down second-seeded Baylor 61-47 on its home floor. The loss snaps Baylor’s streak of consecutive Sweet 16 appearances at 12, which is the fourth-longest streak in tournament history. This marks just the second time a program from the Summit League has made it to the second weekend of the tournament after South Dakota State made the Sweet 16 in 2019.
