Twins Announce Correa Signing, Avoid Arbitration With Rogers

(Fort Myers, FL) — Carlos Correa is officially a member of the Twins. The team announced the signing yesterday, after reports last weekend revealed that the former Astros shortstop agreed to a deal with Minnesota. Correa’s contract is reportedly for three years and is worth 105-point-three million dollars, but includes opt-outs after 2022 and 2023. Correa will be introduced by the team today. The Twins also avoided arbitration with relief pitcher Taylor Rogers by inking him to a one-year deal worth seven-point-three million dollars. In Spring Training action yesterday, the Twins lost to the Braves 4-0. The Twins send Josh Winder to the mound against Boston today.
