(Rapid City, SD) — A federal class-action civil rights lawsuit against a Rapid City hotel could have ten-thousand potential claimants. The suit stems from a social media post that includes comments attributed to manager Nicholas Uhre of the Grand Gateway Hotel and Cheers Sports Bar and Lounge threatening to refuse services to Native Americans. Attorney Scott Heidepriem is handling the case for the NDN Collective and Sunny Red Bear and says the explicit nature of the comments makes the case unique.
