Bismarck Police Considering Body Camera System Options

(Bismarck, ND) — Bismarck Police are considering options for implementing body cameras. Deputy Police Chief Jason Stugelmeyer says the equipment has become “generally expected” of police departments. Bismarck police will present the expected costs to the city’s budget committee in June. If the city commission approves the expense, funding would be available in January 2023. The cameras could be in use as soon as July 2023.
