(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are staying active in free agency. The team signed offensive lineman Jesse Davis and cornerbacks Tye Smith and Nate Hairston to the roster yesterday. Davis will compete for a starting guard spot after starting 72 games with the Dolphins over the past five years. Smith spent most of last season on the Vikings practice squad, but he did appear in five games for the team. Hairston comes over from Denver and adds more cornerback depth to a team that struggled against the pass in 2021.
