Commodities, Expenses At Record Highs As ND Spring Planting Prep Begins

(Hettinger, ND) — Commodities and expenses are at record highs as North Dakota farmers prepare for spring planting. Farmers say in addition to staples like wheat, canola, soybeans, corn, and hay, sunflowers may be a strong crop in this year’s rotation. The National Sunflower Association’s executive director says the drought and the war in Ukraine have run new crop prices to record highs. The NSA’s executive director says a crop is a good option in western and central North Dakota this year.
