(Williston, ND) — The first section of a data center is set to open soon in Williston. The building will house thousands of servers capable of high-performance computing tasks as well as mining cryptocurrency, Officials say they could be online by the end of April. Governor Doug Burgum announced in January that the Atlas Power Data Center in Williston would be one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world. The facility will put North Dakota at the forefront of high-performance computing hubs.
