(Brookings, SD) — South Dakota State will play for the WNIT championship. The Jackrabbits punched their ticket to the championship game last night with a nail-biting victory over the UCLA Bruins. SDSU outscored the Bruins 62 to 59, with freshman Haleigh Timmer making a baseline jumper with less than a minute to go to break a 58-all tie, followed by a pair of free throws by Tori Nelson to seal the deal. SDSU will host Seton Hall Saturday afternoon in the championships.
