Wild Fall To Penguins In OT

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild’s winning streak is ending at seven games following a 4-3 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Xcel Energy Center. Kirill Kaprizov scored early in the third period to send the game to an extra period where Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin hit the game-winner. The goal gives Kaprizov 83 points this season, which ties Marian Gaborik’s single-season franchise record set during the 2007-08 season. Matt Dumba and Frederick Gaudreau also had goals for the Wild, who get one point in the loss to extend their point streak to eight games. The 41-20-and-5 Wild visit the Hurricanes tomorrow night.
