(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Insurance Department is releasing the results of its auto insurance cost comparison survey. The survey compared the costs among 20 auto companies that sell more than 80-percent of the auto insurance in North Dakota. The best price in most driver categories for six months of coverage was quoted by Progressive Direct for the Fargo area, with the highest prices being quoted by GEICO Indemnity. The survey categorized examples as good drivers, good drivers with a youthful driver, elderly drivers, and higher risk drivers who have less than perfect driving records, drive a sports car, or are younger.
